Re-employment of retired public servants suspended until further notice!
A decision has been taken to suspend the re-employment of retired state officials on contract basis until further notice.
It is reported that the Office of the Public Service Commission has informed all the Secretaries to the Ministries and Heads of Departments in this regard.
The decision was taken following a recent circular issued by the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance on controlling the expenditure of the public service and the need to use public funds sparingly.
Therefore, all Secretaries to Ministries and Heads of Departments of the Public Service Commission have been instructed not to submit applications for re-employment of retired public officers on contract basis until further notice.
