DELAY IN A CRUDE OIL SHIPMENT MAY FORCE SAPUGASKANDA OIL RIFINERY YET AGAIN TO CLOSE DOWN

Sapugaskanda could be closed down again?

There is a possibility of having to close down the Sapugaskanda oil refinery yet again due to a delay in a crude oil shipment, ‘Mawrata’ reports.

It adds that the Ministry of Energy has admitted that there has been a delay in placing the crude oil order due to the dollar crisis and 90 days are usually required for a shipment to arrive.
Accordingly, the shipment is to arrive around Jan. 25, 2022 and therein rises the possibility of having to shut down the Sapugaskanda oil refinery yet again, the ministry has pointed out.
