SDIG Deshabandu Tennakoon injured!
SDIG in charge of Western Province – Deshabandu Tennakoon has been injured by a stone hurled at him in the Perahera Mawatha, reports say.
The military had immediately fired shots into the air while the injured DIG was rushed to the police hospital.
A senior police officer had also stated to the media that the group that attacked the DIG, also caused damage to the DIG’s vehicle.
