Over 1/3rd of SLPP members prefer Dullas!
The majority of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s youth group has decided to support Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapparuma in the presidential election to be held next Wednesday.
It is reported that at the SLPP Executive Council meeting, a poll had been conducted among the members of the youth organization as to who the party should support.
Accordingly, 54 of the 75 members of the Executive Council have expressed their willingness to vote for Dullas Alahapperuma in the poll conducted through Zoom technology.
Another group had said that they would not support any of the candidates for the vacant presidency.
The total number of parliamentarians in the SLPP stands at 145.
