EIGHT CONTAINERS WITH WHITE PRINTING PAPER IMPORTED BY THE GOVT PRINTING DEPT STUCK IN PORT FOR WANT OF DOLLARS

Eight containers of white printing papers imported by the Department of Government Printing have been stuck at the Colombo port due to the dearth of US dollars required to release them.

It is said that this has largely hampered work of the Government Printing Department, which only has paper stocks for a period of 06 months.
