Solution to exchange crisis – decision to grow hemp?
As a solution to the exchange crisis in the country, it was discussed during the all-party conference about exporting hemp (Cannabis).
The proposal has been approved by the representatives of all the parties. Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Members of Parliament Diana Gamage, and MP- M.A. Sumanthiran expressed their views regarding this matter.
The draft for the abolition of the gazette notification prohibiting the cultivation of cannabis for export has been referred to the Attorney General.
