The 15 Sri Lankan fishermen who were detained by the Myanmar authorities have been granted a general amnesty.

A total of 15 Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested last December along with two fishing vessels for violating Myanmar’s maritime boundaries and engaging in fishing activities and were subsequently sentenced to 07 years rigorous imprisonment.
