Doctor arrested for killing child born to maid!
Yesterday (25), Batticaloa police officers arrested a doctor attached to the Kandy General Hospital who suffocated and killed the baby born to the maid who was working in his home and threw the body into a well.
A 36-year-old doctor, a resident of Saindamarudu Kalyana Road, has been arrested.
It is reported from police sources that this doctor’s wife is also a doctor.
This crime took place on March 26, 2017 and at that time both of them were working at the Batticaloa Hospital.
Both of them have been working at Batticaloa Hospital for 4 years and have been living in a rented house on Udumahala Road, Batticaloa.
The police say that a 38-year-old woman has been working as a domestic in that house.The baby born to her was thrown into the well.
The maid is a resident of Ampara Central Camp.
