Wellawatta shop owner arrested for murder of employee
Wellawatta Police have commenced an investigation into the killing of a man near the Orchard Shopping Mall in the Wellawatta Police division on Friday (16th) morning.
The deceased has been identified as a 46-year-old resident of Jampettah Street, Colombo 13.
Further investigations have revealed that the man was killed after being attacked by the owner of the shop where he worked, following a personal dispute.
The body has been sent to the Kalubowila Hospital mortuary, and the 42-year-old shop owner, a resident of Wellawatta, has been arrested. The Wellawatta Police are conducting further investigation.
