The demand for Sri Lankan king coconut in the international market is increasing rapidly and the Sri Lankan Coconut Development Authority says that the exportation of king coconut has increased by 117% in 2023.

The Coconut Development Authority also says that 11 million king coconuts have been exported in 2022, resulting in the income of Rs. 110 million.

The authority further states that the amount of king coconuts that have been exported so far this year stands at 14 million, generating an income of Rs. 140 million.
