Special trains on several routes will operate from Friday (22), for the long weekend and school holidays.

Railways Superintendent – Mr. N. J. Indipolage said special trains will operate from Colombo Fort to Badulla and from Kandy to Badulla.

He said a special train is scheduled to leave for Badulla from Colombo Fort at 07.30pm on Friday (22), while another train will leave for Colombo Fort from Badulla at 05.20pm on the same day.

Mr. Indipolage said a special train plying from Colombo Fort to Badulla will leave Colombo Fort at 07.30am on the 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th of December.

He added that special trains will also be scheduled from Kankesanturai and Anuradhapura.
