FORMER . MP appointed ITN Chairman
Former MP – Niroshan Premaratne has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Independent Television Network (ITN).
The former Matara District UPFA MP has been appointed to the position with effect from today (03). He has received his letter of appointment from Finance minister – Basil Rajapaksa today.
Minister of Media – Dullas Alahapperuma too, has expressed his wishes to the new ITN Chairman in person.A former TV presenter of the ITN, Mr. Premaratne had contested and won the 2015 parliamentary election from the Matara District. However he failed to get re-elected in the last General election held in 2020.
