Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has said that measures will be implemented to ensure that all children in Grades 1 – 5 receive a school lunch starting in March this year.

A sum of Rs. 16 million has been allocated for this cause.

Accordingly, the daily amount allocated per day is Rs. 110.

The Minister further said that all school textbooks required for 2024 have been printed, and arrangements have been made to provide the textbooks and uniforms to the schoolchildren immediately after the end of the third term.
