IOC fuel consignment handed over to SL‘s ENERGY MINISTER
The Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka – Mr. Gopal Bagley has handed over a fuel consignment of over 40,000 MT by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to Energy Minister – Udaya Gammanpila today (15).
The consignment purchased by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) from the Indian Oil Corporation reached the Colombo Port earlier today.
Speaking at the event, Minister Gammanpila has said that India has proven itself a good friend of Sri Lanka, not by words, but by actions.
The Indian High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Gopal Bagley also speaking at the event said that as two countries have shared history and also underwent difficulties due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, India is committed to stand by Sri Lanka at this time of crisis.
