Rs 1.9 Mn. Generator for Gammanpila’s residence
The Ministry of Energy recently approved the purchase of a brand new 20 KVA diesel power generator to ensure that its Minister – Udaya Gammanpila will have an uninterrupted supply of power to his official residence.
According to the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited (CPSTL) endorsed Board Paper, the generator will cost Rs 1.96 million plus taxes and the cost would be reimbursed from the ministry.
The Board Paper states that the Secretary to the Ministry of Energy has ordered the task of ‘supply, install, commission and maintain’ a brand new three phase sound proof type Diesel engine driven generator to be at the official address of the Minister of Energy located at C79 Hector Kobbekaduwa Mawatha Colombo 7.
