‘Horana Neelaka’ who abducted his son, killed in Police gunfire
A gangster known as ‘Horana Neelaka’, who abducted his seven year old son, has been killed in Police gunfire.
The Police Media Unit when contacted by NewsRadio said the shooting was reported in Bellapitiya, Anguruwathota.
His remains are currently at the Horana base Hospital.He died in Police crossfire. Police said the abduction of the child from Horana was reported between 7.30 and 8 this morning.
Police said they received information that the abductor was the father of the boy.Police said the suspect is a drug addict, while several complaints have been lodged against him over family disputes.
The suspect had reportedly stabbed his wife and caused serious injuries around a week ago.
