HOUSES ALLOCATED TO FORMER MINISTERS ORDERED TO HAND OVER

Fmr. ministers ordered to vacate Govt. allocated houses

All former ministers and state ministers who had occupied state-provided official residences during their tenures have been requested to immediately vacate and hand these houses over to the government.

The Ministry of Public Administration has informed the former ministers, in this regard, in writing yesterday (Sep. 26).

It is reported that nearly 50 houses had been granted to former ministers and state ministers.

However, the Ministry of Public Administration has permitted former parliamentarians residing at the Madiwela Housing Complex for MPs to continue to do so until the conclusion of the upcoming General Election. The ministry has clarified that these houses too, must be handed over on Election Day or the day after.
