If the public consents, can resolve all issues in 1.5 years – Ranil
Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has reportedly stated that he has the ability to resolve the prevailing crises in the country by becoming the head of a caretaker government if it is the will of the public.
He had stated this during a discussion held with representatives of transport unions this morning (17).
Mr. Wickremesinghe has further stated that the government should resign, heeding to the demands of the youth and he is willing to lead a caretaker government for a short period of time if the public wills it.
He has added that the current economic crisis can be resolved within a year and half.
