If it is so, then everyone is a racist – Wimal
Former minister Wimal Weerawansa says that if the protesters near President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s Mirihana residence were referred to as extremists, then all the people of this country should be called extremists.
During a media briefing held today (01) by members of 11 government affiliated parties, Weerawansa was responding to a question raised on the Presidential Media Unit referring to the protest as an extremist act.If that is the case, then all people in Sri Lanka are now extremists,” Weerawansa said.
The collective of the 11 parties today urged the President to dismiss the Cabinet and establish an interim government which represents all political parties in the government.
Weerawansa added that the government ministers and MPs are currently unable to win the trust and respect of the people.
