“IF SLC FUNDS ARE SPENT ON OUTSIDERS READY TO STEP DOWN” -SHAMMI

“Ready to step down if anyone can prove SLC funds spent on outsiders” – Shammi

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Chairman, Shammi Silva, has made a bold statement, asserting that he will step down from his position if any evidence is provided to support the claims that SLC used its funds to facilitate the travel of outsiders, including actors and actresses, to Australia for the 2022 Cricket World Cup.

In response to the recent allegations made in this regard, Shammi Silva firmly refuted the claim, accusing certain factions of attempting to seize control of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board due to his successful efforts in transforming it into a profitable and thriving organization.

“These are false allegations. We have not spent a single penny on any actors, actresses or close associates. If anyone can prove it today, we will resign tomorrow,” he said speaking to the media.
