Officials instructed to prepare ballot boxes
Chairman of the Election Commission – R.M.A.L. Rathnayake has said that officials have been instructed to prepare ballot boxes for the upcoming presidential polls, which is to be held in October.
Once details of the polling stations are finalized, the condition of the ballot boxes will be inspected with necessary repairs done.
The Election Commissioner further added that a count of officials is to be taken.
He further said they hope to hold discussions with Election monitoring organisations next week as well.
