IN TURKIYE A BUS TOPPLES INJURING TWENTY SEVEN SRI LANKANS

Twenty seven Sri Lankans have been injured after a bus they were travelling in had toppled in Türkiye.

The bus was carrying 39 Sri Lankans who are working on a project at the Istanbul Airport.

They had been returning to their lodgings after ending a work shift when the driver had lost control of the bus, which had veered off the road before toppling into a 6-metre precipice.

The Yüpsultan district governor has stated that no lives were lost and the injured were swiftly hospitalised and are now receiving medical treatment.

The Sri Lankan diplomatic mission in Turkey has said that an embassy representative would be dispatched to look into the group.
