INJUNCTION ON “JAYA SRI” LIFTED
The Colombo Commercial Court today (23) ordered to lift the injunction order imposed on two members of the ‘Jaya Sri’ band.
Last December, an injunction order was issued by the Colombo Commercial High Court Judge Priyantha Fernando preventing the band from performing 20 songs written by singer and musician Aruna Liyan and was later extended.
Band members – Rohitha and Rohana Jayalath, the respondents of the petition, had urged the court to lift the injunction, claiming that the manner in which the injunction was issued, is against the law.
