It is reported that a group of Samagi Jana Balawegaya MPs has secretly plotted to bring about an interim committee to Sri Lanka Cricket.

It is said that they have also secured the backing of several Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MPs for the purpose.

The aim of this effort is said to bring about an interim committee after bringing grave disrepute to SLC officials within the next 02 weeks.

If an interim committee is appointed, the said MPs are said to use the possibility of the ICC banning the SLC to their advantage and criticize the government.
