Many IT experts have left Sri Lanka due to the current crisis in the country, the President of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka ( CSSL) Damith Hettihewa said.
He said at least 10,000 IT experts have left the country as of now.
“Several countries in the world are moving towards digitalization. So those countries are in need of IT experts. The demand for IT experts increased with the Covid pandemic,” he revealed.
Hettihewa further said that as per current data, nearly 10% or nearly 10,000 IT experts have left Sri Lanka.
He added that close to 20-25% of resignations of IT Engineers are also being reported in various organizations at present due to better opportunities. (
