Johnston released on 2 sureties THE Colombo Fort Magistrate has ordered the release of Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando on two Rs.1 million sureties each.
The magistrate has also ordered to impound Fernando’s passport to prevent him travelling overseas.
The former minister was also ordered to appear before the CID to record a statement.
Fernando appeared before the Fort Magistrate on Thursday (9) evening, after the Court of Appeal ordered him to surrender to the Magistrate’s Court before 8 PM today.
