Minister says mandatory face mask rule relaxed
The mandatory face mask rule, previously imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19, has been relaxed.
The newly sworn in Health minister – Channa Jayasumana has said that wearing the face mask will not be mandatory at public places. However, it will be made mandatory when using public transport, and when involved in indoor events, such as offices.
The decision will be in effect from today (18).
