CID team to round up brothels in Dubai!
A special CID team has been dispatched to Dubai to investigate a large network that engages in prostitution under the guise of sending women for employment in the Middle East.
The CID had uncovered details that show over 1,000 such women had been entrapped by this network which earns the traffickers huge sums of money.
Investigations are underway under the purview of Director Human Trafficking Human Smuggling & Maritime Crimes of CID – SSP W.M. Samarakoon.
A few months back, the unit had also uncovered a racket which had brought down women from countries such as Uzbekistan and Indonesia for prostitution.
