Proposal to switch off street lights to save power!
Minister of Power – Gamini Lokuge has said he intends to propose to the government to turn off street lights as a measure to conserve power.
The country has been facing an energy crisis for weeks now.
The minister says he will suggest turning off streetlights from 6.30pm – 11.00pm before turning them on afterwards, or to keep them on from 6.30pm – 11.00pm and turn them off afterwards.
