Govt. MPs agree to continue govt. under MR
A proposal to continue governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has been unanimously passed.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office says that the proposal was passed during the government Parliamentary group meeting that was held today (21).
MP Sahan Pradheep had proposed that in the wake of the prevailing crisis, the government should remain strong and face it head on and therefore, the government should continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
MPs of the ruling party had unanimously passed this proposal, the statement adds.
