A decision has been taken to hand over the South Asian Institute of Technology (SAITM) and the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital (NFTH) to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Moratuwa.

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the two private entities will be handed over to the University of Moratuwa in August.

The PMD added that the University of Moratuwa has been instructed to make pre-arrangements in this regard before commencing academic studies in January 2025
