Clean Sri Lanka Vehicle inspection : New update
Sri Lanka Police has announced a special vehicle operation, effective from 02 January 2025, in line with the government’s ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ national programme.
Per the directives issued by the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), the special vehicle operation will continue until further notice covering all Police Divisions.
The special operation will include the inspection of vehicles for illegal modifications, loud silencers, and other equipment that could cause inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians.
Police officials have been instructed to conduct three-hour inspections twice a day at suitable locations and without inconveniencing passengers of public transportation.
