Import restrictions imposed on 300-400 items will be lifted next week, Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.

Speaking to the media in Ruwanwella this morning (02), the State Minister said that the import restrictions will be eased since the rupee has strengthened due to the increase in the supply compared to the demand for US Dollars.However, he also said that there is no intention to remove import restrictions on locally produced goods.
