Presidential polls : Ranil Wickremesinghe signs nomination papers
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has signed the nomination papers for the upcoming presidential election at his political office on Flower Road, Colombo.
In July, President’s Counsel Ronald Perera placed bonds on behalf of President Ranil Wickremesinghe as an independent candidate.
Nominations for the presidential polls will be accepted on Thursday, August 15th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Elections Secretariat.
The Presidential Election will be held on 21 September 2024.
