Private buses preparing to provide office transport!
The Private Bus Owners Association says that it is planning to operate private bus services for the transportation of office workers in the next two weeks.
According to its President Gemunu Wijeratne, this decision has been taken having taken into consideration the requests made by various companies based on the fuel crisis.
He further said that if the private busses are provided fuel in a proper manner, they could provide this office transport service at a lower rate than the current bus fares.
He noted that although the SLTB Depots are currently providing fuel, this is not done in a systematic manner, adding that it is pathetic that the authorities are not paying attention to the difficulties faced by commuters.
