Circular on restricting Govt. sector staff, issue
The Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration had informed all the Heads of Government Departments to prepare and implement an appropriate arrangement to call only the officers who are essential to delivering public services for duty with effect from tomorrow (26).
The circular issued by Secretary P. K. Mayadunne also refers to action necessary to save electricity and fuel for the management of government expenses.
However, these measures should not be an obstacle to the maintenance of essential services of the government, it adds.
