ON DOCTORS RECOMMENDATION DUMINDA TRANSFERRED BACK TO PRISON HOSPITAL

Duminda Silva moved back to Prison Hospital

Former MP Duminda Silva, who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on Jan. 11, has been discharged and moved back to the Prison Hospital.

Silva, who had been receiving treatment at the Prison Hospital, was transferred to the Welikada Prison on January 10. However, he was admitted to the National Hospital on the recommendation of the Prisons Hospital doctor due to an unexpected complication while at Welikada.

After completing his treatment at the National Hospital, Silva was transferred back to the Prisons Hospital on Sunday.

“The Chief Medical Officer of the Prisons Hospital recommended that Silva should receive further care at the Prisons Hospital,” Prisons Spokesman Gamini Dissanayake has said.
