Visitors to be allowed in Sigiriya on moon-lit
The Tourism Ministry has decided to allow visitors at historic rock fortress Sigiriya on moon-lit nights, in a bid to boost revenue from tourism.
The programme is called ‘Sigiriya in Moon’.
The Ministry will allow these night visits for five days a month ; on the full moon day, two days prior to the full moon day and two days after.
Currently, visitors are allowed during day time between 6.00 am – 6.00pm.
