A team of 09 Chinese experts have begun working with Lankan counterparts over the next 2.5 years to increase productivity, production & commercialization for mango, pineapple & banana in Sri Lanka, the Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka states.They will work under a USD 1.5 million project of the The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
The project, which will be implemented in the districts of Kalutara, Gampaha, Monaragala, Anuradhapura & Kilinochchi.
“The technology & expertise shared will ensure high-quality fruits from Sri Lanka reach global markets faster,” the embassy further adds.
