Court to temporarily release the passport of Champika
Court has permitted to temporarily handed over the impounded passport of Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Damith Thotawatte decided to release the passport considering a motion submitted by the counsel of MP Ranawaka.

According to the motion, MP Champika Ranawaka is intending to apply for a visa to leave for Australia in February.

The passport of Champika Ranawaka was impounded by Court over the case filed in relation to a motor accident in Rajagiriya in 2016.
