Sajith named Opposition Leader
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader Sajith Premadasa has been named as the Opposition Leader.
Speaker Ashoka Ranwala announced a short while ago that he formally recognises MP Premadasa as the Leader of the Opposition in the 10th Parliament.
Mr Premadasa functioned in the same role as the in the 09th Parliament as well.
He was elected to Parliament from the Colombo district and his SJB, which won 40 seats, is the largest single opposition party in the new Parliament.
