Five suspects arrested over setting fire to Minister Prasanna’s residence
Gampaha Acting Magistrate Indrani Attanayake today (14) ordered the five suspects who were arrested in connection with the burning of houses and causing damage to public and private property during the unrest on Monday (09) to be remanded until the 18th. The Gampaha Police had arrested the suspects and produced them in court today.
The suspects had set fire to the houses of Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, Minuwangoda Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Kumara Arangalla and Minuwangoda Pradeshiya Sabha member Hasantha Lakmal Perera.
