Private fuel tanker owners halt operations
The Ceylon Private Fuel Tanker Owners’ Association has decided to withdraw from operations from midnight today (30) against the non-increase in transport prices in line with the increase in fuel prices.
Joint Secretary of the association – Shantha Silva had stated that the discussion held yesterday (29) with the subject minister had ended without a solution.
The association has requested for a 60% increase in transport fees in line with the fuel price hikes.
