Police to provide fuel to parliamentarians
IGP Chandana Wickramaratne has instructed the Assistant Director of Police to temporarily supply fuel on cash basis at the Narahenpita petrol station in the Police Transport Division for the vehicles of the Members of Parliament.
At the request of the Speaker, the fuel supplied by the Petroleum Corporation to Members of Parliament will be released from the Police Station for a short period of time until the current situation is resolved.
However, it is stipulated that the parliamentarian should be present in the vehicle at the time of receiving the fuel.
