Foreign Secretary resigns over ‘personal reasons’!
Admiral (Prof.) Jayanath Colombage, who served as the foreign secretary for around two years has resigned, reports say.
Colombage has said he had resigned due to personal reasons.
A former Navy Commander, Colombage was appointed to the post while he was appointed as an additional secretary at the Presidential secretariat.Reports say that senior Sri Lankan diplomat – Aruni Wijewardena is to be appointed as the new foreign secretary.
