NIC photo fee, upped
The fee charged for photographs taken for the National ID card by registered photos has been increased to Rs. 400.
A Gazette Extraordinary issued by the Minister of Public Security – Tiran Alles notes that a maximum fee of Rs. 400 should be charged by a registered photographer, with respect for uploading the e-photo Studio Software System of Department for Registration of Persons.
It adds that the notification published in Gazette No. 1965/33 of 05th may, 2016 is hereby rescinded.
The 2016 Gazette notified that a maximum fee of Rs. 150 should be charged by a registered photographer, in respect of supplying three copies of a photograph after taking a photograph of a person applies for obtaining an identity card or duplicate of an identity card after registration.
