Tenders called for the importation of 25 police dogs!
The Police Headquarters said that tenders have been called for the importation of 25 high quality male and female dogs for breeding puppies to be trained in police duties including explosives detection.
According to a high-ranking police official, each dog costs around Rs. One million. The Police Supplies Division has taken this step based on a request made by the Police Kennel Division for the supply of these dogs.The Police Headquarters also noted that after 2019 the police department had not purchased any horses or dogs for police duties.
