The vehicle believed to have been used by the assailants in the recent shooting incident in Beliatta, has been found while parked near the Vidyaloka Pirivena in Galle.

The assailants had opened fire at a Defender near the Beliatta Interchange of the Southern Expressway on Jan. 23, killing 05.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage had caught an unidentified person getting down from the aforementioned vehicle near the Kamburupitiya roundabout, around 40 minutes after the incident. Subsequently, he had boarded a bus heading towards Matara.
