President gives strange assurance to SLPP parliamentarians!
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has assured the members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) that the current parliament will not be dissolved until its full five-year term is completed, it is reported.
Prior to the vote for the election of the new president in Parliament on July 20, UNP leader Ranil Wickremasinghe is said to have personally met with a significant number of members of the SLPP group and given this assurance.
