PB ousted before scheduled date
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has reportedly asked Dr. PB Jayasundara not to remain in office until January 31 and to leave before January 15.
According to a report by the Morning Newspaper, the President has instructed Jayasundara to leave as soon as possible in order to pave the way for the new Secretary Gamini Senarath to take over.
Dr Jayasundera had submitted his resignation letter to the President three weeks ago, stating that he would resign on January 31.
